Destination weddings ROCK! This wedding was in Playa Del Carmen Mexico. We found out a few weeks prior to going that some friends of ours would be there at the same time. It was freaky. The couple was amazing and everyone was so nice. Plus they use the word pop which is a little taste of home. They told me they didn’t have a single “good” photo of the 2 of them together. They do now because they look amazing!
Tis the season for weddings. We have 9 weddings in June, 2 of which are destination. This couple was willing to do anything. On the night of the wedding we went to take pictures by the pool, we knew they were going to jump but the family didn’t. It is times like that I wish we did video because Matt’s mom had a great reaction! She knew they were going to “trash the dress” but didn’t know it was the actual dress. Of course we went out the next day and did a trash the dress with a different dress as well. This wedding was our first official “destination” wedding. We had such a great time. It was in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Everyone was so nice and made us feel like we were part of the guests and not there to work. It was a lot of work. We photographed for 3 days. First day was the Pithi where they destroyed the groom with eggs and so on. The second day was the wedding ceremony. The third day we did a trash the dress session. The couple was so great and they even had to rescue my phone.
